ASSISTED REPRODUCTION

After the correct diagnosis, the Salud Reproductiva Team assesses the most appropriate assisted reproduction treatments available for each couple:

a) Artificial insemination: Consists of artificially placing the semen inside the women's uterus. The insemination is conducted at the clinic in a comfortable manner without the need for anaesthetic.

b) In vitro fertilisation (IVF): Is the stimulation of the ovary which allow us to obtain several ovules within the same cycle. Transvaginal ovules retrieval is conducted under ultrasound guidelines.  Control and fertilisation of these ovules will take place at the laboratory.

c) Oocytes's Donation: For various reasons a woman might not be able to generate an embryo due to the production of poor quality eggs, or no eggs at all. In these cases, there is a real possibility of becoming pregnant thanks to Oocytes's Donation.

d) Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): The microinjection of a single sperm into each ovule through micro-manipulation techniques, allows insemination from low quality semen samples, and in cases where sperm is absent.

e) Preimplantation genetic diagnosis: The diagnosis of genetic and chromosomal alterations in embryos before they are transferred to the uterus. Thanks to this technique, it is possible to verify whether an embryo is genetically healthy or not. This prevents many genetic diseases and helps achieve a pregnancy for couples who experience implantation failure after several IVF attempts.
